look at the time frame that that points to in more detail. 5 00:00:58.340 --> 00:01:11.930 I've titled today's presentation, Called, Chosen and Faithful, and that comes from the verse that we will be looking at. 6 00:01:13.390 --> 00:01:31.756 So, we saw this scene before, where we have the series of the planets along the ecliptic, 10 planets with the comet 12P Pons Brooks, 7 00:01:31.766 --> 00:01:38.157 and this is at the time of the solar eclipse, 8 00:01:38.167 --> 00:01:45.810 where the moon and the sun are both at the same place. 9 00:01:47.959 --> 00:01:59.308 And this corresponds to this verse in Revelation 19, verse 18, where it says, that ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, 10 00:01:59.318 --> 00:02:01.659 and the flesh of mighty men, 11 00:02:01.669 --> 00:02:03.685 and the flesh of horses, 12 00:02:03.695 --> 00:02:06.117 and of them that sit on them, 13 00:02:06.127 --> 00:02:08.225 and the flesh of all men, 14 00:02:08.235 --> 00:02:09.846 both free and bond, 15 00:02:09.856 --> 00:02:11.629 both small and great. 16 00:02:12.949 --> 00:02:21.266 And we saw before how there are 10 classes of flesh that the birds are called to eat. 17 00:02:21.276 --> 00:02:31.050 And here we have 10 birds, if you will, flying in the midst of heaven in this heavenly illustration. 18 00:02:32.960 --> 00:02:38.427 Now, the first question is, why birds? 19 00:02:38.437 --> 00:02:44.192 Why does God use the symbolism of birds? 20 00:02:44.202 --> 00:02:55.979 More often, the moving heavenly bodies are identified as angels in the Revelation. 21 00:02:57.229 --> 00:03:02.613 So, why are they specifically mentioned as birds? 22 00:03:02.623 --> 00:03:06.468 We have particularly birds of prey. 23 00:03:06.478 --> 00:03:18.002 Well, if we look at the news that has been coming out around this time of the eclipse, one headline says, 24 00:03:18.012 --> 00:03:28.319 a virus 100 times worse than the previous one puts the world dangerously close to a pandemic. 25 00:03:30.870 --> 00:03:45.041 And specifically, it refers to cases of avian flu, or bird flu, that are rising among humans, which includes one recently found in Texas, 26 00:03:45.051 --> 00:03:53.110 leading to concerns among medical professionals about the deadly H5N1 strain. 27 00:03:53.740 --> 00:04:07.715 So, there's already been, or recently been, a case found in Texas of somebody who contracted this bird flu virus. 28 00:04:07.725 --> 00:04:19.097 Another headline from yesterday, in fact, April 19th, H5N1 strain of bird flu found in milk, 29 00:04:19.107 --> 00:04:26.019 says a representative of the World Health Organization. 30 00:04:27.100 --> 00:04:39.360 This strain has led to the deaths of tens of millions of poultry, with wild birds, and land and marine mammals are also infected. 31 00:04:40.649 --> 00:04:53.515 So, it's been transferred to cattle, and that was how this person in Texas got infected, he was a farmer, and he got it through the milk, 32 00:04:53.525 --> 00:04:54.548 or rather, 33 00:04:54.558 --> 00:04:56.238 through the cows, 34 00:04:56.248 --> 00:05:01.215 and they find it especially in the milk of the cows. 35 00:05:01.225 --> 00:05:07.319 They're still learning about how it transmits itself and spreads. 36 00:05:08.529 --> 00:05:17.708 Cows and goats joined the list last month, the list of mammals that can get this bird flu, 37 00:05:17.718 --> 00:05:29.129 a surprising development for experts because they were not thought to be susceptible to this type of influenza. 38 00:05:30.319 --> 00:05:33.124 So, it's a possibility. 39 00:05:33.134 --> 00:05:48.977 It could be that it's pointing to a bird flu, a deadly bird flu, and in fact, this bird flu, from 2003 until April 1 of this year, 40 00:05:48.987 --> 00:05:56.656 the World Health Organization said it had recorded 463 deaths, 41 00:05:56.666 --> 00:05:58.362 human deaths, 42 00:05:58.372 --> 00:06:02.750 from 889 cases across 23 countries. 43 00:06:03.180 --> 00:06:17.129 Now, that's a long span of time, about 21 years, but it puts the fatality rate at about 52 percent, which is quite high. 44 00:06:17.189 --> 00:06:30.800 So, for those who have contracted this bird flu, most of them, or about half of them, have actually been fatal. 45 00:06:32.800 --> 00:06:46.136 Now, granted, in the more recent cases, the fatality has not been quite as high, but still, 46 00:06:46.146 --> 00:07:04.310 it is a possible fulfillment of this prophecy and the reason why God would use birds to represent the planets in this case. 47 00:07:05.790 --> 00:07:11.870 So, we'll have to see what the future holds in that regard. 48 00:07:13.610 --> 00:07:27.473 But what I want to look at here is the dual nature of this sign because I just read the one verse, 49 00:07:27.483 --> 00:07:40.629 but it speaks of the Lord's call to the birds to come and gather to the Great Supper of God. 50 00:07:43.089 --> 00:07:57.680 But what we see in the heavens is we have Pons Brooks and the Lamb, the Devil Comet and the Lamb of God, the contrasting symbolism. 51 00:07:58.699 --> 00:08:09.101 And then the exact location where the eclipse was on April 8th happens to be exactly 52 00:08:09.111 --> 00:08:18.264 on this constellation line of the fish that is lying down on the equator, 53 00:08:18.274 --> 00:08:20.369 on the ecliptic, 54 00:08:20.379 --> 00:08:21.360 rather, 55 00:08:21.370 --> 00:08:22.970 if you will. 56 00:08:23.620 --> 00:08:26.473 See how there's two fish? 57 00:08:26.483 --> 00:08:34.814 One is straight up, perpendicular to the ecliptic, and one is lying down. 58 00:08:34.824 --> 00:08:47.364 And this represents, as fish, they represent the Christians, those who ascend in the end without seeing death, 59 00:08:47.374 --> 00:08:51.240 and those who pass through death. 60 00:08:52.139 --> 00:09:00.596 And so, what this symbolism is showing is it's marking those who pass through death, 61 00:09:00.606 --> 00:09:07.441 as though the Devil Comet as that angel who is standing in the sun, 62 00:09:07.451 --> 00:09:10.159 according to the prophecy. 63 00:09:11.259 --> 00:09:18.372 Like I said, I only read one verse today, but if you look at the whole prophecy like we did before, 64 00:09:18.382 --> 00:09:21.677 it speaks of the angel who stands in the sun, 65 00:09:21.687 --> 00:09:25.269 and we connected that with the Comet Pons Brooks. 66 00:09:27.120 --> 00:09:38.441 And it's pointing, or highlighting, this lying fish as though to highlight God's people and their death. 67 00:09:38.451 --> 00:09:52.049 We have the two contrasting aspects, the Devil and the Lamb, and then the attack against God's people, putting them to death. 68 00:09:52.730 --> 00:10:04.792 But it's also, like I pointed out before, it's the vengeance of God for those who have been put to death, of his people. 69 00:10:04.802 --> 00:10:10.030 Now, this contrast relates to Revelation chapter 17. 70 00:10:10.040 --> 00:10:15.750 I'll especially at these expressions, these words, that they are called, chosen, and faithful. 100 00:14:01.549 --> 00:14:13.085 Because those who are called, if you're called, what are we called to? 101 00:14:56.899 He gave His life as an invitation to all the world. 109 00:14:56.909 --> 00:15:06.809 Just as it says in the most famous verse of the Bible, for God so loved the world that He gave His --> 00:16:32.149 Keep in mind, Jesus Himself said that though He chose 12, one was a devil. 126 00:16:32.379 --> 00:16:39.179 So, even in that sense, we see that that's not exactly what it's referring at a Bible passage here. 150 00:19:04.450 --> 00:19:13.609 In this story, Jesus makes a point that relates also to this aspect of being chosen. 151 00:19:13.619 --> 00:19:28.220 Now, it came to pass as they went that he entered into a certain village and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house. 152 00:19:28.220 --> 00:19:41.609 So, Jesus went to the house of Martha and she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet and heard his word. 153 00:19:43.309 --> 00:19:49.460 But Martha was cumbered about with much serving and came to him and said, Lord, 154 00:19:49.470 --> 00:19:54.365 doth thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? 155 00:19:54.375 --> 00:19:57.089 Bid her therefore that she help me. 156 00:19:59.710 --> 00:20:08.091 And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things, 157 00:20:08.101 --> 00:20:16.390 but one thing is needful and Mary hath chosen that good part which shall not be taken away from her. 158 00:20:17.559 --> 00:20:30.250 Now, in Jesus' response, we can understand how it works with the chosen because we have the two sisters, Mary and Martha. 159 00:20:32.680 --> 00:20:48.904 And Martha is busy preparing things and not really paying so much attention to Jesus, whereas Mary is sitting, as it were, at Jesus' feet. 160 00:20:48.914 --> 00:20:52.324 She's here well. 167 00:21:18.552 --> 00:21:21.980 She chose the good part. 168 00:21:22.990 --> 00:21:33.978 She, instead of being encumbered with preparations for physical food, she wanted the spiritual food from Jesus. 169 00:21:33.988 --> 00:21:39.037 And Jesus said, it will not be taken away from her. 170 00:21:39.047 --> 00:21:43.680 So, in other words, he agrees with that choice. 171 00:21:44.220 --> 00:21:54.367 She made the choice to sit at Jesus' feet to learn from him, and Jesus, in turn, agreed with that. 172 00:21:54.377 --> 00:22:04.835 He chose Mary because she was the one that was interested and put his words above the earthly things. 173 00:22:04.845 --> 00:22:08.450 So, let's look now at the faithful. 174 00:22:10.240 --> 00:22:18.529 They're called with the invitation, 186 00:23:45.837 --> 00:23:53.377 I am the root and the offspring of David, the bright and morning star. 187 00:23:53.387 --> 00:23:57.029 So, Jesus is represented in Orion. 188 00:23:58.670 --> 00:24:08.148 Remember, like we talked about last week, we talked about the angel, his messenger. 189 00:24:08.158 --> 00:24:23.681 He's the angel of the covenant and he sent his messenger angel, represented by the horologium, to testify these things in the which are, 190 00:24:23.691 --> 00:24:24.936 of course, 191 00:24:24.946 --> 00:24:29.160 represented in the body of the fish. 192 00:24:30.700 --> 00:24:35.970 And then he says, I am the root and the offspring of David. 193 00:24:38.619 --> 00:24:55.663 The root, you can think of this as the river, the source of the river and the outflow, the root and the offspring, 194 00:24:55.673 --> 00:25:00.895 and that puts David in the middle. 195 00:25:00.905 --> 00:25:06.287 If this is David, Jesus is the root. 196 00:25:06.297 --> 00:25:17.640 He is the lamb slain from the foundation of the world and that led to David. 197 00:25:18.279 --> 00:25:26.239 And then he's also the offspring of David, the root and the offspring of David. 198 00:25:26.249 --> 00:25:39.740 And, of course, here we have represented the church of Philadelphia, where Jesus also presents himself as he who has the key of David. 199 00:25:40.950 --> 00:25:53.619 And so, that's where we see David being represented in the sign, is in that position of the baptism. 200 00:25:57.480 --> 00:26:03.609 And David was known as a man after God's own heart. 201 00:26:03.619 --> 00:26:15.037 And, of course, we've seen how the heart is represented at or by the river, the river of blood. 202 00:26:15.047 --> 00:26:23.319 And Jesus also identifies himself as the bright and the morning star. 203 00:26:24.839 --> 00:26:38.780 We talked about last time how the morning star is this angel, his messenger, preparing the way represented by the Horologium. 204 00:26:38.790 --> 00:26:44.579 The passage continues, And the Spirit and the Bride. 205 00:26:45.970 --> 00:26:58.813 So the Spirit and the Bride, Philadelphia, say, Come, and let him that heareth say, 216 00:28:16.724 --> 00:28:19.769 coming to the supper. 217 00:28:21.849 --> 00:28:41.233 So, this also, you mentioned about the being faithful, the faithful witness, and here we see Jesus with the story, and she, Martha, had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet and heard his word. 221 00:29:01.263 --> 00:29:08.079 So, she sat at his feet and heard his word, ate his food, as it completion or rest, that Sabbath rest in Christ. 375 00:47:13.450 --> 00:47:26.887 And so we have this progression from rebellion coming into order with God's covenant, giving up that chaos and
